Distribution Supervisor (2nd Shift)

About the role

Spinrite, the largest craft yarn and sewing thread company in North America, is seeking a Distribution Supervisor to join our growing Distribution team. Reporting to the Distribution Manager, this individual will ensure operational responsibilities are carried out effectively and efficiently, working cross-functionally with all Distribution Center departments to meet company goals. This position is also responsible for ensuring team members are clearly informed of their roles, responsibilities, and performance targets.

Responsibilities

• Plan work assignments and equipment allocation to meet production goals
• Monitor pick rates and investigate areas and team members that are not meeting targets
• Generate daily reports and create additional reports as required
• Schedule associates to complete work objectives
• Create Work Instructions as well as visual control documents
• Utilize Lean Methodology to continually improve operations
• Coach, train, and develop department leads to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned team members
• Partner with supervisors from other departments to leverage resources effectively
• Maintain the facility budget in close partnership with the DC Operations Manager and DC Manager

Requirements

• Experience leading a group of employees (in a warehouse setting) is a plus
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience working in a warehouse setting in various positions
• Ability to solve basic mathematical problems
