About the role
This position manages specific functions of the warehouse and operations, including warehouse, temporary contracted workers, carriers, and/or company drivers. It ensures a safe, reliable environment and works with internal and external contacts to ensure accurate management, routing, and delivery of inventory.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily warehouse operations, including processing inventory and maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Build and maintain positive professional relationships with personnel to minimize turnover and maximize productivity
- Assist with on-time service and meet customer requirements, including managing exceptions on freight and ETA adjustments
- Communicate operational safety standards and take proactive steps to create a positive safety culture
- Work with personnel and/or drivers to resolve service issues and perform administrative duties such as payroll and budget management
- Maximize efficiency of operations and profitability, and make recommendations for continuous improvement
- Utilize personnel management, including training and orientation of personnel, and assist with internal and third-party systems
- Fill in for absent or unavailable personnel and assist with yard management
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED and 2-3 years of experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, and/or equivalent military experience
- Ability to work across multiple shifts, including nights and/or weekends if needed
- Demonstrated customer service skills, ability to process information with high accuracy, and ability to anticipate and resolve conflicts
- Ability to analyze situations, make productive decisions, and adapt to changing environments
- Effective communication skills and ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, and/or equivalent military experience
- Experience in distribution and warehouse operations
- Ability to fulfill physical requirements, including lifting and moving appliances up to 100 pounds

Pay and Schedule
Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 14:00-Midnight. Compensation factors, such as skills, education, experience, and geography, may affect starting pay. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes.
