Distribution Coordinator II

Under general supervision, this position manages specific functions of the warehouse and operations including warehouse, temporary contracted workers, carriers, and/or company drivers. Responsibilities encompass receipt, inventory, material handling, and safety of goods, ensuring a safe and reliable environment. Works with internal and external contacts to ensure accurate management, routing, and delivery of inventory. Must be flexible with scheduling, including day shifts, night shifts, and weekend shifts. Occasional travel for training, meetings, and account coverage may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with internal controls, timely processing of goods, and maintenance of warehouse cleanliness and environment.
• Build and maintain positive professional relationships with personnel to minimize turnover and maximize productivity.
• Assist with on-time service and meet customer requirements, including managing exceptions on freight and ETA adjustments.
• Communicate operational safety standards, warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements; enforce company policies and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Resolve service issues related to routing, receipt, inventory, material handling, and safety of goods; coordinate warehouse resources to maintain working processes.
• Perform administrative duties such as payroll, Net-Revenue budget management, safety event reviews, filing, defect documentation, pay issue resolution, invoicing, and creating operational or financial reports.
• Maximize efficiency and profitability, recommend continuous improvements, and measure key performance indicators for operations and warehouse processes.
• Manage personnel, including training, orientation, and assistance with internal and third-party systems.
• Fill in for absent personnel and assist with special projects to optimize operations and achieve profitability.
• May assist warehouse workers with duties such as operating loading/unloading vehicles, preparing goods, and processing receipts and inventory.
• Assist in yard management as part of daily tasks.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED and 2-3 years of experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, and/or equivalent military experience, and ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends.
• Or demonstration of the following skills through education, certifications, military, or other experiences:

Qualifications

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field and 1-2 years of experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, and/or equivalent military experience.
• Experience in distribution or warehouse operations.
• Experience training others.
• Ability to fulfill physical requirements, including lifting/moving items up to 100 pounds.

Pay

The expected starting pay range for this position is between $60,000 - $75,000. Compensation may vary based on skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes.
