Distribution Coordinator
About the role
Reviews bills of lading for incoming merchandise and customer orders in order to plan work activities. Assigns workers to specific duties, such as verifying amounts of and storing incoming merchandise and assembling customer orders for delivery. Loads and unloads trucks of various product as needed. Pick and sort various product as needed. Bakery operations to include auditing, break-down load shipments, distribute and bill product to IDPs, and issue stale credit in accordance with policy. Maintains facility which includes cleaning and following safety and food safety processes. Responsible for reporting safety, food safety, and site security incidents and improvement recommendations to Leader.
Responsibilities
- Communicates daily with cross-functional teams (i.e. outside carriers, plants, sales, finance, etc).
- Maintains accurate & timely records for timekeeping, expenses, inventory, food safety and safety.
- May perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1 year of related experience in a warehouse or Depot.
Qualifications
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, talking, and hearing.
- Occasional lifting and moving up to 50 pounds.
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Skills
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner.
- Ability to interact with Customer Service/Planning, Sales and Transportation to coordinate any cuts, adjustments, credits and other issues on a daily basis.
- Ability to prepare and maintain spreadsheets and databases as necessary.
- Ability to fill in for site Leader, Coordinator or Sr. Coordinator as needed.
