Distribution Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Maintains regular sales communication and support with buyers and distributors to ensure steady and timely flow of product to stores
• Serves as the liaison and communicator between customers and the distributors regarding new commitments, daily shipments, and product launches
• Works with Accounting and Finance to ensure billing is correct, approves invoices, issues credits
• Affords assistance to Procurement to determine accuracy of incoming items and quantity arriving
• Solves any issues quickly including out of stocks, delays, and mis-shipments
• Coordinates sample deliveries
• Maintains international shipments
• Consolidates stateside shipments
• Affords assistance to buyers to secure new programs and expand MISA’s portfolio
• Manages distributor maintenance including item set up, pricing, PO coordination, compliance and delivery to the destination
• Codifies booking and shipping
• Records and communicates inventory data
• Strategizes with logistics to reorganize and reroute shipments to meet program deadlines
• Strategizes with accounting to ensure all distributor bills are properly reconciled
• Strategizes with distributors to reduce margins where possible to ensure the best prices
• Encourages sales on wine opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• 2+ years of relevant experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Experience in Wine & Spirits preferred
