SUMMARY
Captures and coordinates the distribution of materials to internal and external customers. Manages and distributes Work In Progress (WIP) and inventoried parts to customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organizes and manages inventory locations using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
- Captures and coordinates moves between EK facilities to ensure parts are at work centers on schedule.
- Sherps and receives materials.
- Develops packing lists and Bill of Lading (BOL) for shipments.
- Packs and organizes ship loose items.
- Captures and organizes WIP parts by job numbers.
- Conducts inventory cycle counts and investigates inventory discrepancies.
- Loads and unloads material using forklift and/or cranes.
- Reviews and completes pick lists.
- Creates packaging solutions to meet customer needs.
- Routes shipments via appropriate carrier to meet customer needs.
- Assesses and develops distribution Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as needed.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED, plus 1-3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience using computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos, as well as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds.
- Regularly sits and talks or hears.
- Frequently uses hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Occasionally stands and walks.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
