About the role

Responsible for the overall distribution center operations including customer service, asset management, financials, and team members. Communicate extensively with the Regional DC Director on all matters pertaining to the operation of the DC.

Essential Job Functions

  • Oversight of all aspects of the distribution center, including physical assets, operating costs, safety, loss prevention, inventory integrity, and team members.
  • Management of all distribution center expenses and approval/sign-off of all expenses.
  • Maintenance of on-time delivery, accuracy of shipments, and good customer relations.
  • Ensuring compliance with company operations, policies, and procedures daily.
  • Management of all salary and hourly team members.
  • Excellent leadership, training, and guidance throughout the DC to maintain productivity and morale.
  • Establishing annual goals and plans with the Regional DC Director and preparing annual operating, labor, and capital expenditure budgets.
  • Collaboration with Human Resources team for recruiting, hiring, and training practices.
  • On-time evaluations of all team members.
  • Preparation of annual operating, labor, and capital expenditure budgets.
  • Ensuring a safe working environment and managing risk and related costs.
  • Supporting DC and corporate objectives as assigned by the Regional DC Director and Senior Vice President of Distribution Operations.

Skills/Education/Experience Required

  • High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
  • Excellent leadership and people skills
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Above average computer skills
  • Ability to oversee multiple tasks at one time and prioritize accordingly
  • 4+ years of successful management or assistant management in a distribution center
  • Desired college degree or logistics certification
  • Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
