About the role
Oversee all aspects of the distribution center, including physical assets, operating costs, safety, loss prevention, inventory integrity, and team members.
Responsibilities
- Communicate extensively with the Regional DC Director on all matters pertaining to the operation of the DC.
- Oversee all aspects of the distribution center, including physical assets, operating costs, safety, loss prevention, inventory integrity, and team members.
- Manage all distribution center expenses and for approval and sign-off of all expenses.
- Maintain on-time delivery, accuracy of shipments, and good customer relations.
- Ensure compliance with company operations, policies, and procedures.
- Manage all salary and hourly team members.
- Provide excellent leadership, training, and guidance throughout the DC.
- Work with Regional DC Director to establish annual goals and the plan to follow for accomplishing those goals.
- Support team members and others as needed to ensure effective recruiting, hiring, and training practices.
- On-time evaluations of all team members.
- Prepare annual operating, labor, and capital expenditure budgets.
- Ensure a safe working environment and aggressively manage all risk and risk related costs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
- Excellent leadership and people skills
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Above average computer skills
- Must be able to oversee multiple tasks at one time and prioritize accordingly
- 4+ years of successful management or assistant management in a distribution center
- Desired: College degree or logistics certification
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
