Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and ship customer orders following guidelines, procedures, and policies
• Assist with on-the-job training of new employees and cross-training of current employees
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers
• Communicate any potential shortages and backorders to appropriate personnel
• Comply with all applicable quality system requirements
• Seek guidance and direction as necessary for performance of duties
• Demonstrate good judgment in investigating and resolving problems
• Follow all safety procedures
• Participate in 6S and process improvement programs

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Process written and oral communication skills sufficient to speak clearly and distinctly and read in English
• Minimum of one (1) year inventory control or shipping/receiving experience preferred

Skills

• Computer skills preferred: SAP – Processweaver, FedEx Manager, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Perform expanded basic arithmetic calculations
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and oral instructions
• Detail-oriented, organized, with good analytical, verbal, and written communication skills

Equipment Used

• Standard office equipment (calculator, computer, wedge scanner, printers, shipping software)
• Manual and electric pallet jacks
• Scales
• Electric shrink wrap machine

Physical Requirements

• Moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous day-to-day activities of a primarily productive and technical nature
• Lifting up to 60 lbs / carrying up to 40 lbs
• Moderate lifting, carrying, bending, pushing/pulling, climbing, and prolonged standing
• Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, work with fingers, and perceive attributes of objects and materials
• Ability to judge distance and space relationships (e.g., visualize objects of multiple dimensions)
• Ability to work in a well-lighted, climate-controlled warehouse setting with adequate ventilation
