Dispatcher, Motor Vehicle

Position Summary

Under direct supervision, receives and records radio, telephone, personal messages, and instructions involving emergencies, complaints, accidents and request for information and assistance and dispatches appropriate vehicles as required. Maintains daily logs with all equipment movements, taxi passenger records, daily personnel assignments, housekeeping duties and training assignments. In case of emergencies, the dispatcher must notify all appropriate personnel. Communications are mainly by radio.

Qualifications / Education / Experience

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Clear written and spoken English
• Two years call center or dispatcher experience
• Ability to type 30 words per minute
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Must possess a valid state drivers' license
• Must have and wear hard-toed safety shoes which meet ASTM F2413-05

Responsibilities

• Safety - Develops and maintains a safe work environment. Completes all training requirements and fulfills self-aid/buddy aid responsibilities, participates in emergency response tasks and serves on safety committees and teams.
• Quality - Consistently provides services that meet customer expectations. Conforms to Amentum Quality Policy and carries out job activities in compliance with applicable Amentum Quality System documents and customer contracts. Reads and understands Quality Management and Customer Satisfaction responsibilities.
• Procedure Compliance - Reads, understands, and implements general and specific operational, safety, quality and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures and policies pertaining to job.
