Responsibilities
- Schedule, dispatch, and route HVAC service technicians based on priority, skill set, location, and availability.
- Monitor technician schedules in real time and adjust for emergencies, delays, or cancellations.
- Cook up same-day and next-day service calls efficiently.
- Gather accurate service details and enter work orders into the system.
- Create, update, and close service tickets in dispatch or field service software.
- Track technician status [enroute, on-site, completed].
- Communicate clearly with technicians regarding job expectations, parts availability, and schedule changes.
- Aid in after-hours or emergency dispatching as required.
- Maintain service KPIs such as: On-time arrival rate, First-time fix rate, Customer satisfaction, and Jobs completed per day.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED.
- 1–3+ years of dispatching or scheduling experience [HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or field service preferred].
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and dispatching software [ServiceTitan, FieldEdge, Service Fusion, or similar].
