Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, coordinating, and supervising of delivery team members and assign specific responsibilities which includes dispatching, route assignments, account processing, route delivery and other transportation related activities.
- Arrange transportation for LTL/FTL east bound orders.
- Cookordination with contracted trucking dispatchers and drivers.
- Sequence routes daily to keep loads even and profitable.
- Manage the preparation of delivery documents for truckers.
- Cookordinate pick-ups/deliveries with facilities and cold storage locations.
- Emphasize customer service and productivity.
- Maximize safety.
- Ensure compliance of all Federal, State, Local and DOT regulations and requirements.
- Work closely with the Transportation Supervisor and Transportation Manager to achieve targeted objectives and goals.
- Utilize business support systems to improve efficiency.
- Provide and promote a clean and safe working environment at all times.
Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of two years related experience.
- PREFERRED: Associates degree from an accredited college or university, in related field.
- Basic computer set up support skills (Phone and PC/Laptop).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong computer skills in MS Office Suite, primarily Word and Excel.
- Strong data entry skills.
Physical Requirements
- Sedentary work, walking and standing are required only occasionally.

- Fingering. Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.
- Talking. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Hearing. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.
- Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
- Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
