About the role

The Dispatcher/Logistics Lead coordinates and manages the efficient movement of goods and services across the United States. This role involves scheduling and dispatching drivers, monitoring shipments, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The position requires collaboration with drivers, warehouse personnel, and customers to resolve transit issues, optimize routes, and maximize operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch drivers and vehicles to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
• Monitor shipment progress and communicate proactively with drivers and customers regarding delays or issues.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to manage loading/unloading schedules and inventory availability.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, driver logs, and shipment details in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Resolve logistical problems such as route changes, vehicle breakdowns, or delivery discrepancies, acting as the liaison between field units and customers/supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards during all phases of transportation.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve logistics processes and enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in dispatching, transportation coordination, or a fast-paced logistics environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Proficiency with dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, transportation management systems (TMS), and advanced routing software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, concise instructions.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize high-volume tasks, and adjust schedules as needed.
• Technical proficiency in email, mapping software, and computer systems (data entry).

Physical Demands

• Dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other communications/computer components.
• Potential exposure to odors, fumes, airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, and microbiological pathogens.
• Noise levels varying from quiet to loud; temperature fluctuations from hot to cold.
• Interactive, fast-paced, team-oriented tasks.
• Overnight travel may be required at management’s discretion.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.

Pay

Salary range: $22 USD – $26 USD per hour. Actual pay may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location. Additional components of total rewards—such as bonuses, benefits, or incentives—may apply where applicable.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
