About the role
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Dispatch Coordinator to support daily fuel delivery operations. The role involves serving as the primary point of contact between customers, drivers, and branch operations, ensuring deliveries are scheduled efficiently, customer needs are met, and operations run smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, drivers, branch personnel, and internal teams.
- Cook quote pricing and respond to customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain accurate documentation and operational reporting.
- Verify completion of pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Ensure drivers comply with company policies and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Support forecasting and planning activities related to inventory and delivery demand.
- Assist with inventory tracking and support monthly inventory activities.
- Monitor delivery schedules and proactively address service issues or delays.
- Plan and assign deliveries to maximize efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Report accidents, incidents, or unsafe conditions immediately.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, transportation, customer service, operations, or a related field.
- Strong computer and data-entry skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
