About the Role

Disney Store and DisneyStore.com are the retail merchandising arms of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, extending The Walt Disney Company's brands to merchandise. Operating in North America, Europe, Japan, and China, they offer high-quality products including exclusive lines supporting Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel, and National Geographic. The role is a part-time, non-exempt position focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Leader on Duty to coach and motivate Cast Members, upholding a culture that builds exceptional internal and external Guest Experiences through in-store entertainment, Guest Engagement, and emotional brand connections.
  • Support the Disney Store Mission, “Creating Magical Moments for Guests of all Ages,” through inspiring communication, integrity, and passion for the Brand.
  • Hold self and others accountable to high performance standards while providing Guests with memorable experiences.
  • Strengthen team productivity and morale through consistent coaching and feedback.
  • Consider the impact of actions on individuals, the team, and the organization.
  • Support and participate in community initiatives that promote the Disney brand.
  • Collaborate with the team to leverage synergy opportunities across functions and businesses.
  • Support strategy development and translate it into specific priorities, objectives, and action plans.
  • Understand and drive key business metrics, including Mystery Shop Score, Sales Equations (sales and KPIs), and Controllable Expenses (shrink and payroll).
  • Partner with the Store Leadership Team to ensure the Store is opened and closed in compliance with company policy.
  • Uphold all company policies as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures, Employee Policy Manual, and Code of Business Conduct.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels, even under pressure.
  • Provide basic direction and feedback to Cast Members.
  • Prioritize Guests and tasks with attention to detail.
  • Create a positive work environment and act on constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to Disney Store grooming guidelines.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift boxes weighing up to 45 lbs. and climb a ladder.
  • Available a minimum of three (3) days during the week with open availability on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including overnights, evenings, holidays, weekends, and call-in shifts.
  • Must be able to submit verification of legal right to work in the United States.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in specialty retail.
  • Ability to speak fluently in another language in addition to English.
  • Comfortable storytelling in front of large groups of people.

Pay

The pay rate for this role in Oklahoma City, OK is $13.50 per hour.
