About the role
The Discovery Paralegal will play a crucial role in our litigation team, supporting the strategic and compassionate representation of clients in Houston family law matters. You will be responsible for drafting requests and responses, organizing financial data, and preparing exhibits and inventories that are essential for winning cases.
Responsibilities
- Drafting and responding to written discovery requests
- Organizing and reconciling financial data
- Preparing exhibits and inventories for court filings
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in legal support or paralegal work
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Experience with legal research and document management systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (legal studies, paralegal studies, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Skills
- Proficiency in legal research tools
- Experience with legal document preparation software
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis
