DISCOVERY COORDINATOR

About the role

The MattLaw Discovery Coordinator is the "Trial Launch Manager." This role ensures clients are ready to file lawsuits, focusing on making sure clients provide high-quality answers to discovery deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Reviews pre-suit client discovery answers for quality and passes them to the File Suit Team
• Confirms complaints drafted and filed, selects the best process server
• Confirms all summons are served, monitors any difficult service issues
• Prepares and files any Motions to extend the time necessary to get service upon a defendant
• Works with process servers to obtain Affidavits of Diligent Search and Non-Service
• Drafts Request for Production and Interrogatories using the online client answers once the defendants have filed discovery
• Keeps track of all outgoing discovery to send good faith letters and file Ex-Parte Motions to Compel when necessary
• Reviews incoming discovery and applies to the discovery matrix
• Notifies the attorney of answers and advises on whether additional information is needed or Motions to Compel are required
• Works with the Litigation Scheduler to get Motions set for hearing

Requirements

• Associates degree in paralegal studies or equivalent experience
• Professional in punctuality and appearance
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
• Efficient and able to complete projects within deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude, cooperative, respectful of colleagues, and team player
• Able to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficient in Honey, Excel, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Slack

$25 / Hour Depending on Experience Plus Incentives

Schedule

40 Hours Per Week, 8:30am – 5:00pm

Your focus is making sure our client has provided high quality answers to the soon to be received discovery deadlines from the defense.
