DIS-TRAN Steel Internal Transfer Portal - Purchasing Manager
About the Role
Come join our team at DIS-TRAN Steel! Our people – not our machinery - are our biggest assets. DIS-TRAN Steel’s leadership team lives by our company values, modeling our culture of respect and integrity each day. We're a team that likes to have fun, but we also know how to get stuff done. We are looking for a current employee who is ready to lead the purchasing function and help strengthen the way DIS-TRAN Steel manages purchasing processes, suppliers, commercial commitments, financial controls, and service to internal customers. Reporting to the EVP, the Purchasing Manager will lead purchasing team members and may have up to five direct reports. This is a strong opportunity for an employee who understands how our operations work, can lead people and processes, and is comfortable making decisions that affect cost, delivery, quality, supplier performance, and material availability. Experience gained in purchasing, supply chain, planning, inventory, receiving, operations, engineering, quality, maintenance, accounting, project coordination, or process improvement may transfer well to this role.
