About the role

The Production Manager organizes and controls production to ensure goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to DIS-TRAN standards in a safe environment. This role directly supervises and coordinates production and operating workers, ensuring all processes and procedures are followed.

Responsibilities

• Ensures production staff follows company policies of Crest Industries, LLC.
• Ensures implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on equipment and resource use, and maintaining compliance with policies.
• Works with the Product Family Manager to determine overtime needs and manages overtime hours for production employees.
• Plans production schedules for all projects and determines required material resources.
• Manages employment and material resources to meet production goals.
• Sets quality product standards and establishes routines for consumable replacements.
• Makes salary budget recommendations to the Product Family Manager based on staff input and management guidelines.
• Estimates production costs and implements cost control programs.
• Analyzes production and quality control to detect and correct issues.
• Determines staffing needs based on planned tasks and secures management approval.
• Processes terminations in accordance with company policy, with assistance from Human Resources.
• Supervises more than fifteen employees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• At least 3–5 years of leadership experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook is required.
• Strong leadership and communication skills required.
• Regular, reliable attendance is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a DIS-TRAN Steel employee required.
