Summary
Affords assistance to the WNMU administration, faculty, staff, and student body. Responsibilities include performing basic office duties such as filing, deliveries, and answering the phones. Also includes assisting visitors in a professional and friendly manner. Ensures work is completed promptly and adheres to all deadlines. Maintains confidentiality of all information. Performs a variety of administrative tasks. Facilitates comprehensive communication between all parties (internal and external). Adheres to professional standards and ethics as outlined by WNMU philosophy. Other duties as assigned.
Education/Background
Current WNMU student.
Job Knowledge
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of campus.
- Skill in general office duties and office equipment to include telephones, copier, Fax, and computer/computer programs.
- Must be knowledgeable of University policies and procedures.
- Must be able to handle multiple deadlines and maintain accuracy.
- Must be sensitive to cultural differences within the University and community.
- Fluent in Microsoft Office Applications.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
Normal office environment. Able to follow scheduled work hours. May be required to lift normal office equipment and materials. Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information. Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication. Hearing ability for verbal communication/ conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions. Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing, and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting.
