Director/VP, Capital Formation, Private Capital Management (North America) (Based in US)

Location: New York City, United States of America (open to candidates based in New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Long Beach, or Dallas on a hybrid work arrangement).

About the Role

This position supports the Group in capital raising, investor engagement, and marketing of the Group and its private funds within North America, aligning with the overall business strategy.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies to build the Group’s private capital management business in support of forward growth objectives.
• Support the capital raising process, focusing on marketing and managing investor due diligence requirements within North America for private real estate funds or capital partnerships.
• Actively manage relationships with investors, private capital partners, and capital-raising channels, while developing a strong understanding of investor deployment needs and preferences in North America.
• Conduct market research and analysis of private funds and listed comparables (REITs and Managers) to stay updated on funds flow, capital allocation, strategy, and investment trends in the real estate industry.
• Maintain quality communication channels with both internal and external clients.

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Business, Commerce, Real Estate, or equivalent.
• At least 15 years of relevant experience in fundraising across different strategies for a large real estate manager, operator, or listed REIT with private equity platforms.
• Proven track record in fundraising across North America, with strong experience in logistics.
• Strong marketing, communication, and investor relations skills, with a foundation in real estate investment and financial analysis.
• Proactive, resourceful, independent, and innovative team player who collaborates effectively with the Group in Singapore.
• Willingness to travel as required for the role.
