Vice President, Capital Formation (North America) (Based in US)

We are open to candidates based in either one of our US offices located in New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Long Beach, or Dallas. This position will support the Group in capital raising, investor engagement, and marketing of the Group as well as its private funds within North America in support of the overall business strategy of the Private Capital Management (“PCM”) team within the Mapletree Group.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to grow the PCM Group's private capital management business in support of the Group's long-term growth objectives.
  • Lead and support capital raising initiatives, with a focus on marketing, investor engagement, and the management of investor due diligence processes for private real estate funds and capital partnerships across North America.
  • Identify, originate, and cultivate new investor relationships while expanding and strengthening existing capital partnerships.
  • Proactively manage relationships with investors, private capital partners, and capital raising intermediaries, while maintaining a deep understanding of investor preferences, allocation strategies, and deployment needs across North America.
  • Maintain effective communication channels with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely dissemination of market intelligence and investor feedback.
  • Partner closely with acquisitions, asset management, development, and executive leadership teams to understand investment opportunities, capital requirements, and fundraising priorities.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management on capital markets trends, investor sentiment, fundraising strategies, and business development opportunities.
  • Coordinate the preparation and delivery of fundraising materials, including pitch books, fund presentations, due diligence questionnaires (DDQs), investor reporting packages, and other marketing collateral.
  • Monitor fundraising trends, competitor activities, institutional capital flows, and evolving investor preferences to identify opportunities and potential risks to the business.

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Business, Commerce, Real Estate, or its equivalent.
  • 10+ years’ relevant experience in fundraising for different strategies within a large real estate manager, operator, or listed REIT with private equity platforms.
  • Proven track record in fundraising across the North America region, with strong experience in logistics.
  • Strong marketing, communication, and investor relations skills with a foundation in real estate investment and financial analysis.
  • Proactive, resourceful, independent, and innovative team player working collaboratively with the Group in Singapore.
  • Travel is required for the role.
  • Ability to work 4 days per week in the office when not traveling.

Pay

The annual base compensation range for this role is $220,000 - $280,000 (negotiable). This range represents starting base salaries and is based on factors including previous work experience, specific industry experience, relevant skills, training, certifications, and market considerations. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. In addition to salary and a competitive employee benefits package, candidates may also be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
