Job Description

The Consulting Practice within Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) assists clients with key business priorities, driving growth and improving profitability. We apply deep expertise in banking, payments, and analytics to solve strategic problems for our clients. The VCA team is seeking a Director to lead consulting initiatives and projects for US issuing financial institutions and large neobanks in the North America region.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Manage a sales pipeline and sell consulting work against aggressive revenue goals.
  • Build strong client relationships to ensure awareness of our offerings and advocacy for our work.
  • Proactively engage in strategic & planning discussions with Account Executives, other VCA delivery teams, and Client Marketing.
  • Lead consulting initiatives and provide strategic insight and direction to the team.
  • Develop insights, analyses, and recommendations to improve client performance and boost growth.
  • Create new scalable solutions, toolkits, best practice documents, and consulting frameworks to support client growth.
  • Partner with peers in other functional areas and across global regional teams to execute projects leveraging Visa's resources.
  • Manage various systems of record for pricing approvals, internal routing, legal/funding approvals, and revenue recognition.

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications: 10+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8+ years with an Advanced Degree (MBA, JD, MD), or 6+ years with a PhD.
  • PREFERRED Qualifications: 12+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years with an Advanced Degree, or 6+ years with a PhD.
  • Experience at large management consulting firms or equivalent.
  • Understanding of payments dynamics and intellectual curiosity to stay updated with industry trends.
  • Knowledge of traditional issuers and the connected ecosystem of neobanks and sponsor banks.
  • Technology-oriented mindset, AI-forward approach to BAU tasks, and a drive to evolve in an AI-led environment.
  • Experience managing external partnerships or client relationships.
  • Experience working with financial indicators to measure business performance and significant focus on ROI.
  • Strong analytical skills and intellectual rigor.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented individual with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking operations and payment schemes, including products, services, business systems, processes, marketing initiatives, and card issuing.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
  • Experience managing individuals and consulting teams.

Additional Information

This position is open to U.S. Applicants only. The estimated salary range is $151,600 to $257,000 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Visa offers a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
