Director, Transaction Advisory Services - Healthcare Financial Due Diligence
Job Summary
The Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) Director is responsible for leading financial due diligence engagements, supporting client expectations, and developing the national TAS strategy. This role involves leading multiple client engagement teams, managing project delivery, and fostering client relationships.
Job Duties
- Leads client engagement teams throughout every aspect of project deliverables ensuring effective and efficient service delivery
- Examines complex deal-related issues and provides insight into deal-specific matters, including quality of earnings adjustments, pro-forma/normalization calculations, working capital analysis, debt and debt-like analysis, warranties & indemnities, and sale and purchase agreement review
- Assists in identifying risks and issues related to the transaction and effectively communicates these to clients
- Leverages BDO's firm-wide capabilities beyond TAS during client engagements
- Works with engagement teams to compose and review due diligence reports for client presentations
- Maintains client relationships and addresses client concerns
- Pursues business development opportunities through industry and networking relationships
- Develops proposal documents and conducts presentations to acquire new clients
- Provides verbal and written performance feedback to TAS team members throughout the fiscal year and as part of the annual performance review process
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance, required
- MBA, preferred
- At least eight (8) years of prior financial statement related professional services experience, required, of which five (5) or more years have been spent in a dedicated TAS environment, to include complex national and multi-national buy and sell side transactions, required
- Carve-out experience, preferred
- Prior experience interacting and working directly with C-level personnel, preferred
- Big 4 or other top-tier consulting firm experience, preferred
- CPA, preferred
- Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills, required
- Excellent project management and communication skills, as well as a sense of urgency and drive to help the company service its clients
- Solid knowledge of technical accounting areas such as US GAAP
- Exhibit an executive presence and strong business acumen
- Proven ability to initiate and maintain solid relationships with all levels of client personnel, as well as utilizing network and industry relationships to identify business development opportunities
- Capable of working in a demanding, deadline-driven environment either independently or within a team dynamic while effectively managing unexpected issues and/or questions in a professional manner
