The Role
You will lead the strategy, design, governance, and continuous improvement of Fidelity's time away from work programs. You will report to the Head of Financial and Work Life Benefits and partner across Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, business unit capacity planning teams, and external vendors to ensure Fidelity's programs support associates throughout key life events while maintaining operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and a positive associate experience.
Expertise and Skills
- 8–10 plus years of experience in benefits, leave administration, HR policy, compliance, or related areas, with increasing responsibility for program strategy and management
- Strong knowledge of time away programs, including applicable federal, state, and local regulations, and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical business solutions
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives and driving program, policy, or process changes from strategy through implementation
- Experience influencing stakeholders and building partnerships across HR, Legal, Compliance, and business teams
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data and insights to identify trends, develop recommendations, and support decision-making
- Excellent communication, relationship management, and organizational skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity, and drive results in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint; experience with HRIS, leave management, or benefits administration systems preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the ongoing strategy, design, and enhancement of Fidelity's time away from work programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives, associate needs, and market practices
- Audit program performance, utilization trends, benchmarking data, legislative developments, and associate feedback to identify opportunities and develop recommendations that support the evolution of Fidelity's programs
- Partner with HR Shared Services, business unit capacity planning teams, and external vendors to ensure effective program administration and a seamless associate experience
- Collaborate with Legal and Compliance partners to monitor regulatory developments and oversee policy updates, governance activities, audits, and risk assessments related to time away programs
- Lead cross-functional projects and program implementations, coordinating stakeholders and ensuring successful execution of policy, process, and system changes
- Establish and maintain program documentation and governance practices that promote consistency and compliance across the organization
- Leverage data, analytics, and reporting to evaluate program effectiveness, identify trends, and provide insights and recommendations to leadership
- Develop communications, training materials, and resources that support associate understanding and effective utilization of time away programs
- Foster strong relationships across Human Resources and business teams to ensure programs continue to meet evolving workforce and organizational needs
