Director, Technical Product Owner

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Technical Product Owner to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will lead end-to-end technical product execution, from initial concept through launch and ongoing optimization, in a highly regulated healthcare environment. You will translate product strategy into actionable engineering work, align scope and ownership across teams, and help ensure delivery stays on track against business and compliance goals. The position also requires close partnership with Engineering, Architecture, R&D, and program leadership to manage trade-offs, dependencies, and release readiness. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $149,300 – $298,700 annually Responsibilities Own and drive end-to-end technical product execution from concept to launch and beyond Translate product strategy into actionable epics, user stories, and a ready backlog Establish clear scope, decision rights, and accountability across teams Lead cross-functional meetings to synchronize efforts between Product, Engineering, and R&D Collaborate with Engineering and Architecture to make informed technical trade-offs Co-manage release readiness alongside the Program Manager, addressing risks and dependencies Implement quality and compliance checks from early stages of the product lifecycle Qualifications 10+ years of experience in Technical Product Management, Product Ownership, Engineering, or Technical Program Management Strong technical fluency in software delivery, including mobile, web, and backend environments; Go or React Native experience preferred Proven success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in matrixed environments Ability to break down ambiguous business goals into actionable engineering tasks Strong skills in agile practices, including backlog refinement and sprint planning Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience Benefits Remote working options available in California 15% travel requirement for collaboration and stakeholder engagement Opportunity to work at the forefront of healthcare technology in a regulated environment Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
