Director, Supply Management

About the role

The Director, Supply Management role is responsible for managing purchasing contracts in the protein category. Key responsibilities include budgeting and forecasting, analyzing spend, negotiating with suppliers, and managing supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

• Budgeting and forecasting of category supply chain revenue
• Analysis of spend to identify opportunities within non-contracted areas
• Ensuring a strategic sourcing process is followed
• Participate in Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Pricing (RFP) events
• Pricing negotiations and management of Supplier Agreements
• Quarterly business reviews to ensure compliance with supply agreement terms and conditions
• Strategizing on new opportunities that deliver value to the organization
• Internal cross-collaboration with culinary to ensure proper items are contracted and available for system usage
• Mentoring and managing direct reports

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in supply chain management
• Supply chain procurement contracts experience
• Demonstrated negotiation skills
• Understanding of contract terms, including insurance and indemnification, termination clauses, audit provisions, and federal laws
• Working knowledge of RFI and RFP processes
• Strong management experience
• Familiarity with distribution and logistics
• Expert skill level with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Qualifications

• Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum Management Experience: 5 Years
• Minimum Functional Experience: 5 years of experience in purchasing or related field
