Director Subcontracts Management
About the role
The Director of Subcontracts Management will lead the transformation of DEPCOM Power's Subcontracts capability. This role is based in Scottsdale, AZ or remotely, and is a construction-first leadership position.
Responsibilities
- Set and drive the vision for the Subcontracts capability.
- Build and lead a high-performing subcontracts team.
- Identify and close talent gaps.
- Establish preferred partnerships with subcontractors.
- Lead disciplined subcontractor selection and execution.
- Bring field-tested construction judgment to scope definition and performance management.
- Hold subcontractors accountable for work.
- Build knowledge and measures for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Deep, hands-on construction and EPC experience.
- Experience leading subcontracts or subcontract management.
- Experience managing subcontractor performance and change orders.
- Experience building preferred-partner or strategic sourcing programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Utility-scale solar or renewable energy EPC construction experience.
- Experience driving self-perform vs. subcontract strategy.
- Experience building preferred-partner or strategic sourcing programs with construction subcontractors.
- Exposure to construction software platforms.

Pay
$180,000 - $220,000 per year. Variable pay may be issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
Schedule
Willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time as business needs permit.
