About the Role
A leading global manufacturer serving the semiconductor industry is seeking a Strategic Programs Director to lead a portfolio of high-impact enterprise initiatives across a complex multi-site manufacturing network. This executive-level role will drive large-scale product transfers, manufacturing capability transfers, operational transformation initiatives, and PMO governance programs that directly influence manufacturing readiness, operational scalability, and business growth. The ideal candidate combines deep manufacturing expertise with world-class program leadership and has successfully led complex initiatives across engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, and executive stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of strategic programs supporting manufacturing growth, operational excellence, and network expansion.
- Drive end-to-end product and technology transfer initiatives across multiple manufacturing locations.
- Develop and implement PMO governance frameworks, stage-gate processes, and executive reporting structures.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Business leaders to execute critical enterprise initiatives.
- Establish portfolio visibility around risks, resources, budgets, milestones, and interdependencies.
- Lead manufacturing readiness reviews and transfer readiness processes to ensure successful program execution.
- Present program status, risks, and recommendations to executive leadership teams.
- Champion PMO best practices and continuous improvement across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or related technical discipline.
- 12+ years of program or project management experience within semiconductor manufacturing, semiconductor capital equipment, or advanced manufacturing environments.
- 7+ years leading complex, cross-functional, multi-site strategic programs.
- Experience leading product transfers, manufacturing transfers, technology transfers, or factory ramp initiatives.
- Proven success driving programs involving Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality organizations.
- Strong executive presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification.
- MBA or Master's degree.
- Experience building or maturing PMO organizations and governance models.
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience.
- Experience with semiconductor equipment manufacturers, contract manufacturers, or related high-tech manufacturing environments.
