About the Job:

Beautynova is the Italy-based parent company and manufacturer of a portfolio of innovative and coveted Professional Hair Care brands, including milk_shake®, DEPOT®, and Medavita, and operates in North America under our subsidiary, z.one concept USA, inc.

We are dedicated to delivering better days in people’s lives through high-performing hair products with care, respect, and creativity. We serve professionals and consumers thanks to an open-minded, entrepreneurial, and committed team.

As part of our accelerated growth strategy in North America, we are seeking like-minded, experienced, and passionate people to join and elevate our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Content Leadership (Pro-First, Digital-First)
    • Define and lead the overarching content vision and POV across all three brands, grounded in professional expertise and elevated for digital culture.
    • Develop global and regional content frameworks that balance education, inspiration, storytelling, and performance — empowering teams to move quickly without diluting brand integrity.
    • Champion a social-first, platform-native mindset, ensuring content is designed for where professionals and consumers actually engage — not retrofitted from traditional assets.
    • Translate brand strategy, product launches, and educational initiatives into robust content strategies that ladder directly to business objectives.
    • Ensure each brand maintains a distinct voice and role in culture, while operating within a cohesive Beautynova content ecosystem.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership & Brand Translation
    • Act as a strategic partner to Brand Marketing, Education, Sales, Performance Marketing, and Creative, ensuring content is embedded early in campaign and launch planning.
    • Bridge the gap between professional authority and social relevance — helping internal stakeholders understand what resonates in culture without sacrificing credibility.
    • Collaborate with media, PR, partnerships, and retail teams to create integrated content ecosystems across earned, owned, paid, and trade channels.
    • Foster strong relationships with global teams to align content planning, toolkits, and asset creation while allowing for regional nuance.
  • Social, Community & Advocacy Leadership
    • Lead the strategic direction of social media, community, and advocacy efforts across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging channels.
    • Build content strategies that serve professional engagement, education, and advocacy alongside consumer discovery and brand love.
    • Push beyond vanity metrics — ensuring content drives meaningful KPIs across engagement, consideration, conversion, and brand health.
    • Stay ahead of platform evolution, cultural shifts, and professional industry trends — anticipating what’s next, not reacting late.
    • Champion experimentation, testing, and learning to continuously refine what performs and why.
  • Content Production & Operations
    • Oversee end-to-end content strategy and production — from ideation and briefing through shoots, post-production, optimization, and syndication.
    • Build scalable, efficient content models rooted in a “shoot once, use everywhere” mentality, without sacrificing quality or craft.
    • Ensure the right balance of in-house talent, freelance creators, professional artists, and agency partners to deliver against ambitious calendars.
    • Own content planning and calendars across brands, ensuring alignment with product launches, education moments, events, and commercial priorities.
  • Team Leadership & Capability Building
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing social and content team, fostering a culture of creative excellence, accountability, and growth.
    • Create an environment where strong ideas can come from anywhere — and where feedback sharpens the work, not slows it down.
    • Provide investment and resourcing recommendations to ensure content dollars work as hard as possible.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Experience & Leadership
      • 10+ years of experience in content strategy, social media, digital marketing, or creative leadership roles.
      • Proven experience leading teams across social, content creation, and production.
      • Track record of building and scaling content strategies for beauty, grooming, lifestyle, or professional-led brands.
      • Experience working with internal teams, agencies, creators, and production partners.
      • Strong understanding of how to balance brand-building and performance-driven content.
    • Strategic Thinking & Cultural Fluency
      • Deep understanding of how content ladders to brand strategy, education, and business objectives.
      • Strong instinct for cultural relevance — especially within professional and creator-driven ecosystems.
      • Hands-on knowledge of social platforms and content formats, and what actually performs vs. what just looks good.
      • Fluent in analytics, reporting, and optimization — measurement is a given, not an afterthought.
    • Creative Vision with Operational Rigor
      • Equal parts visionary and executor — you can set the bar high and build the systems to meet it.
      • Ability to scale content without losing consistency, quality, or authority.
      • Strong editorial eye and storytelling sensibility, with the ability to give clear, constructive feedback.
    • Collaborative, Pro-First Leadership
      • A natural bridge-builder who elevates ideas across teams and disciplines.
      • Respected partner to education and professional communities — you understand that credibility is earned.
      • Confident decision-maker who can push boundaries while protecting long-term brand equity.

      Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

      • Hybrid work environment with a combination of in-office and remote work.
      • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
      • Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds.
      • Walking between different departments when in the office.
      • Occasional travel for sales trips, educational flights, or collaboration with marketing teams at other locations.
      • Adaptability to different working environments, including interactions with remote teams and account partners across various time zones.
      • Potential for Domestic and international travel to industry events, tradeshows, and customer locations up to 10%+ of time.

      What We Offer:
