Harvest Group is seeking a dynamic leader to join our Retail Media team as a Director or Senior Director, depending on experience. This role leads the development and execution of omnichannel retail media strategies across search, display, social, online video (OLV), connected TV (CTV), and emerging commerce media channels. The Director/Senior Director partners with clients, agency teams, and retailer partners to develop strategic media plans, oversee campaign execution, and deliver measurable business results. The ideal candidate combines deep retail media expertise with strong business acumen, executive presence, and a passion for developing people and solving complex client challenges. Candidates hired at the Senior Director level will also help shape Harvest Group's Retail Media strategy, capabilities, and long-term growth.

Director Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing Retail Media team responsible for planning, activating, and optimizing omnichannel retail media campaigns aligned to client objectives.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, developing full-funnel media strategies and optimization plans across Amazon, Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, Kroger Precision Marketing, Instacart, The Trade Desk, Criteo, CitrusAd, PromoteIQ, and other retail media platforms.
  • Lead client relationships through strategic planning, business reviews, annual media planning, performance discussions, and ongoing recommendations that drive measurable business results.
  • Partner with Client Service, R&D, Technology, retailers, and agency partners to strengthen capabilities, accelerate client growth, and identify new opportunities.
  • Provide thought leadership by tracking industry trends, identifying innovative solutions, and recommending new strategies that advance client success.
  • Lead account strategy, including annual budget planning, KPIs, partner selection, and test-and-learn initiatives.
  • Support new business development through client presentations, cross-selling opportunities, and proposal development.
  • Coach and develop team members while fostering collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence.

Senior Director Responsibilities (Additional responsibilities beyond those listed for Director)

  • Define and evolve Harvest Group's Retail Media vision, long-term strategy, and service capabilities to support company growth and client needs.
  • Lead the development of scalable operating models, organizational structures, and business plans that drive growth, efficiency, profitability, and operational excellence.
  • Serve as a trusted executive advisor to senior client stakeholders, shaping long-term commerce and omnichannel strategies while cultivating strategic relationships with retailers, platform partners, and industry leaders.
  • Partner with Executive Leadership to identify and prioritize new service offerings, technology investments, strategic partnerships, and innovation opportunities that strengthen Harvest Group's competitive position.
  • Influence and align cross-functional leaders across Client Service, Commerce, Analytics, Technology, and R&D to successfully execute strategic initiatives and organizational change.
  • Evaluate business performance, identify growth opportunities and risks, and recommend strategic actions to achieve financial and operational objectives.
  • Drive internal and external thought leadership while mentoring future leaders and building organizational capability within the Retail Media practice.

Director Requirements

  • 10-12+ years of retail media management, digital commerce, omnichannel marketing, and/or eCommerce sales leadership experience working with major retailers (Amazon, Walmart, Target, Kroger, etc.).
  • Must have a strong understanding at least two of the four listed Retail Media platforms – Amazon, Walmart Connect, Target-Roundel, Kroger Precision Marketing.
  • Demonstrated success leading client strategy, media planning, activation, optimization, and measurement across retail media platforms.
  • Strong command of commerce platforms, syndicated research tools, and reporting resources such as Amazon, Walmart Connect, Target-Roundel, Kroger Precision Marketing, Instacart, and retail media networks including Criteo and CitrusAd.
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, and team development.
  • Strong understanding of Demand Side Platform (DSP) activation and optimization techniques.
  • In-depth knowledge of the retail media landscape is critical.
  • Adequate understanding of activation & optimization techniques across Retailer Media & eCommerce platforms is a must.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking & problem-solving abilities.
  • Guiding clients and client teams through clear and concise communication, both written and verbal.
  • Prominent communication skills with the ability to influence senior client leaders, retailer partners, and internal stakeholders.

Senior Director Requirements

  • 15+ years of retail media, omnichannel marketing, digital commerce, eCommerce sales, agency leadership, or related experience with significant leadership responsibility.
  • 8+ years of people leadership experience, including experience leading managers or senior-level individual contributors, building high-performing teams, and developing future leaders.
  • Demonstrated success creating and scaling retail media capabilities, business units, service offerings, or organizational functions.
  • Experience managing large client portfolios, business units, or multimillion-dollar retail media investments.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional strategic initiatives and influencing executive-level stakeholders across organizations.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing business performance, forecasting, resource planning, budgeting, and profitability objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop long-term business strategies, identify growth opportunities, and translate vision into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Experience driving organizational change, leading through ambiguity, and building alignment across teams and stakeholders.
  • Recognized industry expertise with a strong understanding of emerging retail media trends, technologies, measurement frameworks, and commerce ecosystem dynamics.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence senior client leaders, retailer partners, and internal stakeholders.

The national hiring range for the Director position is $160,000-$180,000/annually. The national hiring range for the Sr. Director position is $175,000 - $200,000/annually. Additionally, this position is eligible to participate in our bonus program.
