Director / Senior Director Payer Marketing

Job Purpose The Director / Senior Director Payer Marketing will be responsible for executing the U.S. payer value communication strategy and tools to support optimal product access. This individual will lead the creation of payer-facing resources, including value propositions, PIE docs, AMCP dossiers, and field tools. They will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that payer messaging is clinically relevant, economically compelling, and compliant with regulatory standards. Your profile Major Accountabilities Pre-Launch (FDA -24 to 0 months):Insight generation & message testing: Conduct payer research project and further message testing to inform Payer Value Proposition and access / contracting strategyPayer Value Proposition development: Lead the creation of a value story tailored to payer needs and access barriers by partnering with HEOR and Medical Affairs to shape the clinical and economic positioningPIE and AMCP content: Own development of the Pre-approval Information Exchange (PIE) and AMCP unapproved product dossier as well as field tools (e.g., payer value decks, FAQs, objection handlers, and training guides)Access pull-through materials (payer, HCP, patient): Develop and create materials facing payers, HCPs and patients to communicate and support patient access (e.g., payer leave-behinds, HCP office reimbursement guides, PA checklists, appeals / med exception templates, SP network cards, affordability guides, etc.)Access improvement initiatives & advocacy: Drive initiatives and advocacy collaborations with key disease landscape stakeholders to improve patient accessTraining: Help train payer account teams and FRMs on the value story and how to compliantly deliver payer materialsCross-functional & MLR alignment: Collaborate with Legal, Regulatory, and Medical teams to ensure all materials meet MLR and PIE standardsHEOR: Lead HEOR project with vendors to create required HEOR outputs for AMCP and PIEPost-Launch (FDA Approval to +6 to 12 Months)Payer content development: Update and finalize payer materials, including the AMCP approved dossier, to reflect final label, NDC, and approved claimsContinued payer insights and message refinement: Assess payer objections and access challenges gathered from field teams and update field resources based on real-world access patterns, denials, or payer pushbackAccess pull-through materials: Collaborate with KAMs, hub and FRM teams to develop tools and content for coverage and prior auth supportCoverage metrics: Define KPIs and gather usage and impact data on payer tools and messagesCoverage milestone communication: Partner with Comms and Marketing to communicate early wins (e.g., “XX% of covered lives”) to field teams and internal stakeholdersPayer campaigns: Launch targeted payer campaigns for long-tail regional plans Job Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree required Advanced degree (MSc, MBA, PhD, PharmD, or MD) strongly preferred Experience: At least 5 years in U.S. market access marketing, payer strategy, or related rolesDemonstrated experience leading AMCP dossier creation and PIE materialsExperience supporting a successful product launch in an (Immunology) specialty or rare disease area is preferred Skills/knowledge/behavioural competencies: Strong understanding of the U.S. payer ecosystem, including commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid channelsFamiliarity with MLR review processes and compliant access messagingStrong collaboration, project management, and communication skills Why us?
