Director (RN) Risk Management
Department/Unit Summary
The Director of Risk plays a key role in coordinating multiple facets of the overall risk management process. They manage risk identification, avoidance, and mitigation by collaborating with all levels of leadership, provider, front end staff and other stakeholders. They manage the evolving needs of active litigation cases to include investigations, interviews, depositions, gathering of legal hold records and other needs as determined by legal counsel. They are responsible for training leaders, providers and various hospital staff on the risk management program and reporting of incidents. They also serve as the Compliance and Ethics Officer for the facility.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Current state RN license
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school
- MSN, Healthcare Administration, and MBA preferred
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- Prior acute healthcare risk management experience preferred
- At least five years' experience in Nursing with at least three years as a Director/Manager
- Experience working in a for-profit hospital strongly preferred
- Previous Director level experience preferred
