As a Director, Retail Accounting in St. Louis, MO, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our renowned brands.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the monthly financial closing, consolidation, and reporting processes for the retail business
  • Ensure a highly functioning team through leadership, coaching, and development of the team
  • Ensure reports and systems meet the needs of the account teams and end users of financial information
  • Maintain internal control structure to ensure an effective internal control system within respective areas of responsibility, including the financial statement close process
  • Conduct monthly reviews of key accounts with the Controller and divisional financial management, identifying and communicating unusual items and variances
  • Lead periodic balance sheet reviews to ensure all balance sheet accounts are accurate, reconciled, well-supported, and sufficient to cover identified risks and liabilities
  • Ongoing support and analysis to facilitate decision-making by retail and real estate teams, including reviewing accuracy of new store pro formas, relocations, lease renewals, and store closing/go-dark decisions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; CPA preferred
  • Equivalent experience of 7-9 years in accounting or finance
  • 3+ years of public accounting experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of staff and management
  • Experience managing a team in a dynamic environment
  • Experience with SAP accounting software, including BPC, or equivalent general ledger system strongly preferred

Qualifications
