Director Rehab Services
PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, WA is seeking a Director Rehab Services for a full-time, 1.00 FTE, day position. The salary range is $71.02 – $106.54 per hour, dependent upon education, training, work experience, and applicable collective bargaining agreements.
About the role
This position provides operational leadership and directs patient care programs and related capital projects for Rehabilitation Services. The Director ensures quality and performance improvement activities meet target conditions while adhering to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and standards.
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership for operational effectiveness, clinical excellence, and personnel management.
- Supervises staff for assigned services and programs.
- Creates and monitors infrastructure, systems, processes, and standards to achieve desired outcomes in collaboration with medical directors, department chairs, and medical staff.
- Leads fiscal and business planning to promote revenue enhancements and cost efficiency, including developing, implementing, and monitoring operating and capital budgets.
- Develops strategic and long-range plans and policies for patient care programs and associated activities.
- Directs recruitment, training, and evaluation of personnel.
- Leads continuous improvement efforts for clinical excellence, revenue enhancement, and cost efficiency.
- Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians, department managers, staff, and customers to improve patient care outcomes, efficiency, and customer service.
- Develops clinical processes that ensure patient safety and meet or exceed national benchmarks and patient safety goals.
- Ensures regulatory compliance for all areas of responsibility.
- Monitors, communicates, and works to improve patient, physician, and staff satisfaction.
- Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates new patient care programs and practice models, including identifying clinical objectives, resource requirements, and operational components.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Pathology, Nursing, or a related healthcare field.
- Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related clinical field.
- Three years of progressively responsible healthcare management experience.
- Experience with business development, budgeting, and team development preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in developing successful working relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
- Current licensure for profession from the state in which the caregiver is practicing preferred.
