About the role
The Regional Sales Director will lead a team of experienced sales professionals, focusing on developing strategies to achieve and exceed revenue and margin targets. This role involves managing a diverse portfolio of accounts, building relationships with key stakeholders, and collaborating with various departments to ensure successful sales outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Recruit and manage a team of direct reports to drive sales performance
- Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for the assigned region
- Negotiate large, complex deals with multiple parties
- Collaborate with Sales Engineering, Channel, Finance, Legal, R&D, and Marketing teams to align regional activities and optimize sales performance
- Build and maintain relationships with key accounts and decision-makers
- Initiate and manage negotiations for new product sales
Requirements
- 10+ years of director-level management experience with direct reports in a fast-paced, competitive sales environment
- Minimum 6 years of experience selling security products, including vulnerability management, continuous monitoring, IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, compliance, encryption, access management, authentication, etc.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of multi-product software solutions
- Minimum 8+ years in quota-carrying sales roles with proven success in achieving and exceeding targets
- Extensive experience in negotiating large, complex deals with complex terms, conditions, and considerations
- Proven track record in building and managing partnerships with channel and technology partners
- Experience coordinating across multi-functional teams such as Sales Engineers, Inside Reps, Field Marketing, Professional Services, and Channel Management
- Extensive knowledge of the Southeast US Region, including accounts, decision-makers, and channel partners
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a team
