About the Role

Direct and manage all aspects of the development of major land, attraction, or hotel projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, estimating, design, construction, fabrication, delivery, and commissioning. Ensure projects open within assigned budget, quality, schedule, creative, and guest experience targets.

Responsibilities

  • Qualify, procure, select, contract, and oversee performance of all contractors, vendors, manufacturers, and fabricators required for project completion.
  • Ensure adherence to project procedures for correspondence, RFIs, directives, shop drawings, submittals, meeting minutes, punch lists, deficiency lists, notices, and pay applications.
  • Maintain overall project budget and schedule within targeted objectives.
  • Coordinate and implement creative/architectural content developed by internal teams or outside consultants to deliver the final vision.
  • Qualify, procure, select, contract, and oversee performance of architectural, engineering, and technical designers to complete the design phase within budget and schedule.
  • Hire, manage, and develop a project team (10–35 members) consisting of architects, engineers, project managers, schedulers, estimators, and technical personnel.
  • Manage, track, and report on project components, including budget, schedule, and progress to upper management.
  • Maintain accurate documentation to ensure successful project completion within targeted budget and schedule.
  • Actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field (required).
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • 15–20 years of experience in the development and management of major projects, with hospitality, entertainment, or theme park experience.
  • Licenses in Architecture or Engineering (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Prolog.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for reports, business correspondence, and presentations to management, public groups, or boards.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, and advanced reasoning to interpret technical instructions and solve complex problems.
  • High-level decision-making and relationship management skills, with a focus on tact and diplomacy.
