About the Role

The Director, Product Manager Roofing Systems will oversee the entire lifecycle of Erie Home’s roofing products and systems—from conception to market launch—to drive revenue and margin growth. This strategic role requires deep expertise in roofing materials, systems, market trends, and customer preferences. The Product Manager will also collaborate with sales teams to develop training resources and enhance the in-home sales process.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire lifecycle of roofing products, from introduction to retirement, making data-driven decisions about enhancements, modifications, and discontinuations.
  • Provide sales teams with product knowledge, training materials, and support to position them as experts in the roofing installation process and Erie’s roofing system.
  • Plan and execute the launch of new roofing products, including marketing strategies, sales training, and support plans.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor strategies, using data to inform product decisions and market positioning.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, operations, legal, and customer support teams to align product strategies with business objectives.
  • Oversee product quality and compliance, ensuring roofing products meet industry standards and building codes.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers in partnership with supply chain and operations leadership.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective strategies without compromising effectiveness.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in product management and training, with a strong preference for experience in the roofing industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of roofing materials, construction methods, and market trends.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Data-driven decision-making skills, with proficiency in market analysis tools.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in vendor and supplier management.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Work Environment

  • Normal office environment in a climate-controlled setting.
  • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible force frequently.
  • Up to 25% travel required.
  • Additional hours may be required (exempt position).
