Position Summary
The Director, Product Manager Roofing Systems oversees the entire lifecycle of roofing products, enhancing strategy, training resources, and market positioning. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep knowledge of roofing materials, systems, market trends, and customer preferences. The Product Manager collaborates with sales teams to improve the in-home sales process and works cross-functionally to align product strategies with company goals and customer needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the entire lifecycle of roofing products, from introduction to retirement, making data-driven decisions about enhancements, modifications, and discontinuations.
Provide sales teams with necessary product knowledge, training materials, and support to enhance their ability to sell roofing products effectively.
Plan and execute the launch of new roofing products, including developing marketing strategies, sales training materials, and support plans.
Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor strategies, using data to inform product decisions and market positioning.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, legal, and customer support teams to align product strategies with business objectives and foster effective communication and collaboration among teams.
Oversee product quality and compliance, ensuring roofing products meet industry standards and applicable building codes.
Work with supply chain and operations leadership to manage relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Develop and manage budgets as needed, ensuring cost-effective strategies without compromising effectiveness.
Gather feedback from customers and stakeholders to identify areas for product improvement and innovation, guiding product enhancements based on customer insights.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in product management and training.
Experience within the roofing industry is strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of roofing materials, construction methods, and market trends.
Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Data-driven decision-making skills, with proficiency in market analysis tools.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience in vendor and supplier management.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Travel Requirements
Up to 25% travel.

Additional hours may be required (exempt positions).
Physical Requirements
Normal office environment. Performs indoor work in a climate-controlled environment. Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
