Director - Portfolio Management - Respiratory
Role Overview
The Director of Product Management – Respiratory, owns the portfolio end-to-end and is accountable for delivering accelerated revenue growth, margin expansion, and long-term value creation—always grounded in a deep understanding of customer needs. This leader will partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Sourcing, Engineering, R&D, Sales, and senior leadership to define and execute portfolio strategy, optimize investment decisions, and maximize return on investment—both for the current portfolio and future innovation pipeline.
This role reports to the VP of Product & Marketing and can be based in Charlotte, NC or Albany, NY.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing product management team
Define and execute the global portfolio strategy, including planning, prioritization, and optimization
Own P&L performance, driving revenue growth and margin expansion
Lead new product introductions (NPIs), from concept through commercialization, including breakthrough innovation initiatives
Develop and maintain product and solution roadmaps aligned to market opportunities and business objectives
Drive portfolio lifecycle management, including rationalization, expansion, and performance optimization
Deliver successful commercial launches and implement ongoing demand generation and profit optimization initiatives
Shape and evolve business models to expand value capture and competitive differentiation
Develop and execute value-based pricing strategies
Lead comprehensive Voice of Customer (VoC) initiatives to inform product and portfolio decisions
Champion brand positioning and ensure alignment with global brand strategy
Drive cross-functional project planning and execution with operational rigor
Establish pricing strategies and governance to achieve growth and profitability targets
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
8+ years of relevant professional experience
Minimum of 3 years of product management experience, preferably within safety, industrial, or adjacent markets
Competitive mindset with a strong drive to win
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
MBA or equivalent advanced business training
Experience in a high-growth, entrepreneurial, or transformation environment
Proven ability to lead teams and influence across a global, matrixed organization
Experience managing complex product portfolios, including hardware, services, or software-enabled solutions
Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic plans that drive measurable results
Commercial experience spanning product management, sales, and marketing
Strong project management and organizational capabilities
Ability to thrive in a high-performance, results-oriented environment
