About the role
The Search Team at Agency Omd is a collaborative and innovative group dedicated to data-driven marketing. Members of the team benefit from access to the Omnicom Search Center of Excellence, which includes training, development, and resources like best practices, tools, and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Paid Search Strategic Planning: Develop and implement long-term plans aligned with client business objectives, and track KPIs to measure success.
- Paid Search Data Analysis: Extract meaningful insights from data and relate them to client business goals to generate actionable recommendations.
- Team Management: Lead and manage a team of search professionals, assign tasks, track progress, and ensure consistent campaign execution. Provide regular training and mentorship to develop junior team members.
- Client Communication: Present strategic and tactical plans to clients, staff, and internal teams, and build strong relationships with clients.
- Paid Search Financial Management: Oversee forecasting, budgeting, and pacing for paid search campaigns, ensuring efficient resource allocation and optimizing performance within budget constraints.
- Business Acumen: Understand business concepts and client objectives to identify opportunities for campaign expansion and growth.
- Quality Assurance: Act as a quality assurance check for all paid search account management deliverables.
- Cross Team Collaboration: Work with broader investment and strategic leadership to enhance team performance.
- Thought Leadership: Drive best practices in managing platform execution and produce POV documents.
- Testing Oversight: Ensure testing plans are implemented and work closely with the Associate Director on test development.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency within the team.
- Escalation Point: Serve as the point of contact for day-to-day issues and challenges.
- Growing Existing Business: Present new ideas and approaches to the client team, including upsell opportunities with third-party technology vendors or internal technologies.
- Upcoming Industry Changes: Stay informed about industry changes and provide POV documents on how future changes might impact the team's approach.
- Leadership & Strategic Direction: Interface with client's senior leadership, uncovering business challenges and working with the internal team to keep client priorities front and center.
- Merchandising Team Success: Package up the team's results in language the client's team can understand, helping to grow client trust and appreciation.
- Comfortable with Complexity: Familiar with complex Paid Search structures spanning multiple accounts and thousands of keywords, able to prioritize effectively.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of product feeds required to manage Performance Max/Product Listing Ads.
- Previous direct response/ecommerce experience is required.
- Relevant post-secondary education, training, or equivalent experience in Paid Search with 8+ years of experience.
- In-depth understanding of Paid Search campaign management and optimization best practices.
- Strong knowledge/understanding of social, search in social environments, Generative AI, programmatic, and other online advertising channels.
- Hands-on keyboard experience with Google Ads, MSFT Ads, bid management tools like SA360, SKAI or Marin, Adobe, and Google Analytics.
- Advanced usage of scripts, experience troubleshooting site tags, and strong analytical skills to leverage data for decision-making.
- Proactive self-starter with a fast-paced, results-oriented agency environment.
- Team player and committed to training and cross-functional collaboration and communication.
- Strong program management and organizational skills, managing multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities with ease.
- Excellent storyteller, both written and verbal.
- Experience leading and managing teams, with a proven ability to develop and mentor talent.
- Test, learn, and scale mindset.
Benefits
Agency Omd offers competitive compensation packages, including a range of $90,000.00 - $215,000.00 annually for New York based positions. The company adheres to a policy requiring employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, though this requirement may increase over time.
