Director, Order to Cash

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Order to Cash to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This leader will own the full order-to-cash function across billing, invoicing, collections, and payment settlement in a complex environment spanning SaaS and payments revenue streams. The role is responsible for improving end-to-end operational performance, strengthening controls, and driving better recovery and cash flow outcomes. In close partnership with Sales, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and Risk, this leader will help streamline processes, reduce manual work, and build a high-performing team. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage billing, invoicing, collections, and payment settlements end-to-end.
• Oversee operational management of revenue functions covering SaaS and payments-based revenue.
• Develop and implement a collections strategy to reduce aged receivables and improve recovery rates.
• Select and enhance billing and payment tools while streamlining processes to reduce manual work.
• Hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing team with clear KPIs and service-level goals.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and Risk teams on billing and payment topics.
• Maintain internal controls and support audit and compliance activities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in billing, collections, payment operations, or revenue operations, ideally in fintech, payments, or SaaS.
• Proven ability to build and lead teams, including other people managers.
• Demonstrable track record of improving end-to-end operational processes at scale.
• Strong knowledge of revenue accounting standards (ASC 606) in SaaS and payments.
• Familiarity with payment processing systems and processors, including Stripe and TSYS.
• Comfortable working with ERP, billing, and CRM systems like Workday, Zuora, and Salesforce.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; CPA preferred.

Pay

Compensation: $170,000 – $210,000 annually
