Job Overview
The Director of Operations is responsible for providing operational leadership and support to all staff statewide, ensuring proper training, office infrastructure, expense tracking, and meeting report deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or minimum 5-7 years' relevant experience
- Superior project/time management skills - including planning, analysis, attention to detail, and problem solving
- Superior initiative, drive for results, and self-assessment skills
- Strong written communication and editing skills
- Strong understanding of social media and proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to effectively gather information and insights through questioning and observation
- Comfortable engaging with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
Job Duties
- Researches and evaluates funding opportunities
- Serves as a leader in understanding office priorities
- Oversees calendar and application process for funding
- Reviews and approves contracts, check requests, and orders for office infrastructure
- Maintains communication with State Director
- Manages state's programs budget, tracks expenses monthly
- Maintains Raisers Edge data and portfolio management
- Works with State Director on developing and managing operational state plan initiatives
- Works with State Director to track and integrate program participants and staff into fundraising efforts
- As appropriate, researches and submits grant proposals
