Director - Operations
As the Director of Operations, you will oversee the performance of all operational functions for a large, complex location or multiple remote sites. You will provide strategic leadership to meet and optimize business performance objectives, service, productivity, and quality while partnering with leaders across Supply Chain, Operations, and business units to drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Manage operations to improve efficiency and increase productivity.
- Provide guidance on hiring, developing talent, and managing staff.
- Lead a team to ensure objectives are met, including driving customer excellence plans, setting and managing performance targets, and overseeing employee performance management.
- Drive LEAN methodologies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Provide strategic and tactical leadership to achieve corporate goals.
- Develop annual business plans and identify key activities and priorities.
- Implement and communicate operational strategies and solutions aligned with business plans.
- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, policies, internal audit controls, Sarbanes-Oxley controls, and business management quality system planning.
- Partner with inventory leaders to meet regional inventory needs and goals.
- Set and monitor operational budgets.
- Provide guidance to ensure business continuity and recovery plans are met.
- Ensure operational policies and procedures align with business objectives.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 7-10 years of operation leadership experience in distribution center facilities.
- 5+ years managing varied organizational development projects and programs.
- LEAN Yellow Belt certification.
- Ability to execute a LEAN mentality in a distribution/warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in business and management principles, including strategic planning and resource allocation.
- Strategic thinking skills and ability to collaborate with senior management and regional teams.
- Ability to identify external resources and manage relationships with vendors and internal/external service providers.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of data analytics, performance metrics, and operational metrics.
- Willingness to travel 25% - 50%.
Pay
$139,693 - $192,078 annually. This amount reflects the reasonable expected pay range for the position, though actual offers may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift differentials, or collective bargaining agreements. Eligible positions may also include participation in bonus or sales incentive plans, and certain sales roles may offer a commission structure based on sales results.
