Director of Wellness-PW

Responsibilities

• Perform continuous, ongoing supervision of all wellness department team members
• Recruiting, retaining, training, disciplining, counseling, motivating, scheduling and evaluating team members
• Establishes and builds rapport among team members to facilitate teamwork
• Observes patients/residents under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications, etc.
• Makes and records vital signs
• Administers prescribed medications, injections, wound care, collects lab samples and other basic medical care tasks
• Provides assistance as necessary with activities of daily living
• Coordinates and implements regularly scheduled wellness meetings
• Ensures compliance of Wellness Department relative to federal, state, local and company regulations and policies
• Maintains liaison role by ensuring effective communication with other members of the team, residents, families and medical professionals
• Reports on operation of Wellness Department to ensure continuity of care
• Keeps department on budget within established guidelines and submits recommendations for budget completion, equipment and supplies

Requirements

• Texas LPN license
• 3 Years Of Nurse Management Experience
• BLS Certification (Preferred, not required)
• Familiarity with hospital health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures
• Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology
• Perfect physical condition and stamina
