Director of Wellness

About the role

The Director of Wellness (DOW) at Claiborne Senior Living is responsible for leading health services within the senior living community. The role is ideal for a nurse leader with a focus on clinical outcomes, resident safety, and cultural impact.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all clinical services and resident care operations
• Ensure compliance with state-specific regulations and company policies
• Lead Health Services Evaluations (HSEs) and service planning
• Maintain quality indicators, incident trends, and change-of-condition processes
• Supervise and develop LPNs, CNAs, Med Techs, and caregivers
• Manage medication systems, pharmacy partnerships, and documentation standards
• Support family communication and care conferences
• Prepare for and participate in regulatory surveys and quality audits
• Drive a culture of safety, integrity, and clinical excellence

Requirements

• Active RN or LPN license in good standing (state-specific requirements apply)
• Multi-state experience a plus
• Previous leadership experience in senior living, assisted living, or long-term care preferred
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and clinical operations
• Experience supervising and coaching clinical team members
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
