Director of Transport and Support Services
About the role
Guest Services is composed of the Gift Shop, Transport Services, Mailroom, Volunteers and acts as the PBX liaison for the facility. You will serve as the facility's representative for PBX issues, complaints, and control the facilities Parlance directory. The department supports the hospital and organizational strategies to recruit patients, maintain patient relationships, and assist in the development of strategies to promote patient loyalty to MountainView’s programs and services. You will accomplish department objectives by managing staff, planning and evaluating department activities for multiple departments - these include the Gift Shop, Mailroom, Volunteer and Transport.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the facility's representative for PBX issues, complaints, and control the facilities Parlance directory
- Support the hospital and organizational strategies to recruit patients, maintain patient relationships, and assist in the development of strategies to promote patient loyalty to MountainView’s programs and services
- Achieve department objectives by managing staff, planning and evaluating department activities for multiple departments - these include the Gift Shop, Mailroom, Volunteer and Transport
- Promote hospital lines-of-service including Senior Strategies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or job experience equivalent
- Background in customer service and minimum one year experience managing a volunteer services program in an acute health care facility preferred
- Strong ability to work well with others in a leadership and advisory role required
- Good telephone manners and excellent communication skills are essential
- Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with a diverse group of individuals and establish working relationships with fellow employees
- Extensive knowledge of community, comprehensive understanding of company, department policies, procedures and operations
Qualifications
