Director of Ticket Sales and Operations - Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day oversight of ticket sales strategy and execution for all ticketed events
  • Create and execute a comprehensive year-round ticket sales strategy to grow revenue and attendance for the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl game
  • Strategically prospect new clients through outbound sales calls and in-person appointments. Effectively manage and develop inventory and ticket packages
  • Day-to-day oversight of the operations of the ticketing system
  • Exceed all Ticket Sales revenue goals determined by senior management
  • Engrain yourself in the Shreveport community, developing key relationships and enhancing offerings to the business community
  • Aid in the sales process and activation of new corporate partners
  • Generate reports and track overall ticketing revenue pace towards goals
  • Work as a self-starter to innovate new initiatives to drive revenue for the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl
  • Represent the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl and Taymar Sales U. with the highest integrity
  • Work all Independence Bowl Foundation and Independence Bowl Events alongside the bowl’s staff
  • Work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment to produce accurate results
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all internal & external units of the department to ensure a positive event experience for customers
  • Maintain the past ticket buyer database
  • Accounting of all ticket money received for all events throughout the calendar year
  • Absorb seats to customers with respect to long-time account holders
  • Maintain a database of renewals and send out renewals in a timely fashion each year
  • Monthly reports to the Board of Directors on ticket sales status or other news pertaining to ticketing
  • Handle all game day needs, including accurately accounting for ticket start-up change, maintaining and training game day workers on credit card machines, working with stadium staff to ensure a pleasant fan experience, and managing Will Call and day-of-game sales
  • Coordinate the printing of all event tickets

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of sales experience with documented results in intercollegiate athletics or professional sports team revenue generation
  • Proven track record and success developing, managing, and executing a comprehensive ticket sales strategy
  • Thorough knowledge of revenue processes and procedures
  • Effective communication (oral, written, and interpersonal) skills
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work independently
  • Ability to work various hours, including nights and weekends
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, integrity, communication skills, and desire & ability to learn in a fast-paced, highly competitive industry
