Director of Spa - Amangiri

We invite you to join Amangiri in Utah, United States, as Director of Spa. Reporting to the Resort Manager, you will lead all aspects of spa and fitness operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery, strong financial performance, and the continuous development of the team. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational excellence, delivering personalised wellness experiences in line with Aman’s philosophy.
Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations of the Spa and Fitness facilities, ensuring the highest standards of service, privacy, and guest experience.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, business plans, and financial forecasts to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Analyse financial performance, including profit and loss statements, and implement strategies to optimise results.
- Maintain and evolve spa treatments, service standards, and operational procedures in line with industry trends and Aman philosophy.
- Collaborate with Marketing and operational teams to drive revenue growth, brand positioning, and guest engagement.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of spa colleagues and contractors.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture through coaching, development, and clear communication.
- Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements, including state licensing standards.
- Act as the primary contact for guest concerns, ensuring prompt, professional, and discreet resolution.
- Drive innovation through capital projects, partnerships, and continuous enhancement of the spa and wellness offering.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ leadership experience in a luxury spa or wellness environment.
- Proven expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and revenue optimisation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build meaningful guest relationships.
- Experience with spa and hotel systems such as Book4Time, Spa Soft, Opera, Micros, or similar platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of current wellness trends and holistic health practices.
- Strong leadership, delegation, and team development capabilities.
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and cultural awareness.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required, with the legal right to work in the United States.
