Director of Sales - Sheraton Vistana Resort

Job Summary

Shapes and executes an overall sales strategy. Communicates this strategy to the sales team and other business units. Coordinates with marketing management in order to ensure alignment of marketing and sales strategies. Manages the sales experience, responds to customer needs, and participates in business management.

Responsibilities

• Manage the sales floor to ensure efficient customer tour flow and sales presentations.
• Plan and staff sales force readiness to meet marketing and tour needs.
• Provide information to customers and answer questions about vacation ownership, seasonal travel, and financing options.
• Close sales, review and approve documentation, handle overflow from tour waves, greet customers, and make post-purchase calls (PPCs).
• Supervise daily operations, conduct huddles, and participate in sales management meetings.
• Mediate and resolve issues, provide motivational messages, and monitor reports.
• Ensure product inventory is available and manage the guest experience.
• Interview new candidates for Sales Executive and Sales Manager positions.
• Coordinate and prepare quarterly business objectives with Director of Marketing.
• Respond to customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns.
• Develop and deliver training to sales workforce.
• Facilitate regular training and feedback sessions with new hires.
• Address employee concerns and diagnose issues with under-performing Sales Managers.
• Plan, rollout, and monitor incentive programs to motivate Sales Executives.
• Understand and abide by relevant regulations and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of equivalent work experience; minimum 2 years experience in a similar position.
• Proficiency in reading and writing English; additional language required for certain positions.
• Progressive leadership experience in timeshare sales.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays as required by business needs.
